Welcome to Birthing Babes!

My name is Gina Crosley-Corcoran, CCCE, and I’m a DONA trained birth doula and CAPPA Certified Childbirth Educator working to help empower expectant parents and assist them in their birth journey.  I have three children of my own – two sons and a daughter, ages 1 — 5 years.  After hiring a doula for the birth of my second son, I knew I wanted to help other women have the same amazing support that I experienced.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Loyola University Chicago with a BA in Management and a Certificate in Organizational Leadership. This fall, I will begin work toward a Master of Public Health in Maternal Child Health at University of Illinois Chicago. In addition to being a doula, I work part-time writing about issues of reproductive rights, infant and maternal health, and social activism for several health-related websites.

I attend all types of births as a birth doula. If you would like to inquire about hiring me for a birth, please check my availability and then send me an email to schedule an interview.

As a CAPPA Certified Childbirth Educator, I also teach 8 week comprehensive childbirth preparation classes, and VBAC classes specifically geared toward the mother working toward a vaginal birth after a prior cesarean.  I am a 2-time VBAC mom myself and a former cesarean support group chapter leader, and am acutely in tune with the special needs of a VBAC mom, or any mom recovering from birth trauma. (No classes are currently scheduled at this time, please check back for future availability.)
