My name is Gina, and I’m a DONA trained birth doula and CAPPA trained childbirth educator working to help empower expectant parents and assist them in their birth journey. I have three children of my own – two sons and a daughter, ages 4 — infant. After hiring a doula for the birth of my second son, I knew I wanted to help other women have the same amazing support that I experienced.
I am also a Dean’s List, pre-law student at Loyola University Chicago with a special interest in health law and domestic birth activism. I work part-time writing about issues of reproductive rights, infant and maternal health, and social activism for several health-related websites.
I currently teach 8 week comprehensive childbirth preparation classes, and VBAC classes specifically geared toward the mother working toward a vaginal birth after a prior cesarean. As a 2-time VBAC mom myself and a former cesarean support group chapter leader, I am acutely in tune with the special needs of a VBAC mom, or any mom recovering from birth trauma.
I also attend all types of births as a birth doula. If you would like to hire me for a birth, please check my availability and then send me an email to schedule an interview.
